I have heard arguments for and against the benefits/disadvantages of both types when applied to the EC12/Nautic12/A2.

I would dearly love to know which type I should be recommending to a person new to the 12-metre class, perhaps even someone who is completely new to the sport.

Why would one choose a teardrop in preference to a round groovy, or vice versa?
