How does that old saying go?
You can keep some of the people happy all of the time!
You can keep all of the people happy some of the time!
But you cannot keep all of the people happy all of the time!

I understand that no matter what I do, there will be some that like what I do, and others that don't! 

It has been a very trying year but I hope that now, a few things have been sorted out, and 2012 will be a GREAT YEAR for MODEL YACHTING!

It was a year in which I, thinking, and hoping, on the postitive side of human nature, and the promotion of this hobby, this sport, would be a good one!

But alas, this was not to be, and my involvement and moderation, came too late, to prevent a bad taste, being left in my mouth!

And by the very people, who profess to have the best interests of this sport, at heart! 

I was disgusted at the quality of many posts on these forums' pages, before I took an interest, in what I expected to be positive discussions about the future of this sport, by reasonable users! But all I saw, for the most part, was anger, and personal attacks, when one user may have disagreed with another!

This could all have been avoided had those same questions, been asked in a non-accusatory format! The damage that has been done to this sport by some of the participants may never be recovered from!

But that was the year 2011!

For the new year of 2012, I hope things will look up, that there will be more comments, questions, queries, about all aspects of this sport.

And if something is wrong, LET's FIX IT! But in a civilised manner! Let's keep personalities out of any discussions, and address the issues!

It is the ISSUES, that will determine the future of this sport!
