These are, in my opinion, the true contenders for the Australia II throne, but if they are not about, and are not being manufactured any more, then I guess it is open slather for anyone who wants to copy these beautiful stand-off scale boats!
And as things stand, right now, this sport needs all the help it can get, and my personal feeling is that, these boats are the future of big boats...
So if the owner's of the A2 molds are not going to manufacture boats, then I will totally support the owner's of the Nautic 12 molds.
It is now, my friends, a matter of survival, and promotion.
So if the A2's want to be the dominant boat, best you guys get your ar**'* into gear and start promoting that boat. It will have my full support if you start promoting.
Otherwise, if there is no activity on the A2 front, I will throw my weight behind the Nautic12 if anybody wants to make that a business.
And I believe, if I am correct, that under copyright laws, after 25 years have passed from the original creation, copyright is no longer an issue, so I would no longer have any qualms at all, about supporting the Nautic12.
