Not sure you are wrong on the lack of ARYA support though.
These are just the sort of events the ARYA should be jumping on the bandwagon & spending some of the accumulated Slush Fund. Demonstrating the support & promoting the vitues of Radio Sailing in this country.

I have been receiving numerous calls from concerned skippers seeking information on the Morgan Black competition. In the absence of a NCC, I ask all skippers to direct your questions to the ARYA Executive as they now have full control over the class and they are the only people that can provide accurate information regarding the any proposal to conduct the event.
Sadly, this also applies to our friends in New Zealand who are seeking this information.
Once again I regret to be the bearer of bad news however, Australia will not be hosting the 2012 USA "Morgan Black" International competition.
Due to the protracted delay with administrative procedures between the ARYA, the former EC12 NCC and AEC12OA President, the time frame could not ne met.
Given the Interim constrains placed on the AEC12OA by the ARYA, I doubt if Australia will be given this opportuntiy in the near future. Hopefully the new EC12 NCC will be able to follow on in Perter footsteps and re-enter negotiations with our friends in the USA and New Zealand.
