RE: WANTED classic looking gaff schooner

Hi Martin!

You are in the right place... smile

It's just that info regarding these schooners is very hard to get. I know. I have been for years interested in getting models, in the size you stated, for the schooner 'America' and/or 'Bluenose'. To no avail.

You might try Adrian at Float-a-Boat, http://www.floataboat.com.au/ or the following link http://lryc.org.au/neutrad%20models.htm  to a member of the Lilydale Model Yacht Club.

I think you would be extremely lucky to find completed models, but these two connections might have further information.

Good luck Martin

Hi all,

Firstly, sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum! If I am in the wrong place could a kind soul please point me to a more suitable forum?

I want to buy a completed model of a classic-looking gaff schooner, for example (but not limited to) Elena, Mariette, Altair etc. I'm looking for a reasonably large model, anything in the range 0.8m long to 1.5m long. Having spent many hours googling I can't find a place which sells the right kind of model, which is why I'm asking for your help. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Martin
